About Me
Welcome, and take a moment to reflect with me…
The greatest achievements in life often stem not from having the right answers but from asking the right questions.
For over a decade, I’ve been sharing these questions—and the insights I’ve gained from navigating them—to drive systemic change and educational equity. What began as a vision in 2010 has transformed into a movement that has touched countless lives in Armenia and beyond.
Ten years ago, I moved from the US to Armenia to found Teach For Armenia, a nonprofit dedicated to educational equity. My journey began as a special education teacher in Arizona with Teach For America, where I saw educational disparities firsthand and envisioned a similar movement in Armenia. As a product of Armenia's post-Soviet educational system, I knew systemic change was needed. This vision led to the creation of Teach For Armenia, catalyzing justice and equity for all our nation’s children.
Through our work, we’ve developed a network of passionate leaders committed to unlocking the potential of every child in Armenia through quality education. Our mission is ambitious yet simple: to create a future where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
In addition to my work with Teach For Armenia, I co-founded A.I.mpacted, a startup harnessing the power of AI to aid educational organizations in making sense of their data, and Health For Armenia, leveraging our educational insights to enhance healthcare systems. My journey is guided by a dedication to social impact, human development, and systemic change.
My commitment is to arm you with the questions—and the principles, tools, ideas, and frameworks I have personally battle-tested—to help you create lasting impact in your community and beyond.
Join me on this journey.
Warm regards,
Larisa Hovannisian
